- The Bonita Optimist Club Youth and Community Service Activities Foundation helps to fund youth activities within our local community which will benefit the greatest number of local youth.
- Public recognition of service clubs is very important since hearing about the good work these clubs do also helps them to raise funds that they return to the communities they serve. The Bonita Optimist Club would appreciate your recognition in any media or local program in which you are involved.
- Community members are always welcome at the Bonita Optimist Club’s weekly meetings. In addition, we also encourage and appreciate community support of our fundraising efforts, such as our twice-yearly book sales and our annual Heroes for Children Golf Tournament. Interacting with each other makes our community stronger; it makes our Club stronger; and it makes all our collective efforts stronger in helping the youngsters we all share.
- Grant requests from commercial businesses or professional services and/or for-profit entities; organizations that are able to solicit funds from a broad financial base, e.g., national and/or international organizations; or capital/annual campaigns, existing debt obligations, and projects that promote religious or political doctrine are not funded.
- Your funding request will be considered by the Foundation Grants Review Committee whose recommendation will be forwarded to the Foundation Board of Directors at their next monthly meeting. It is recommended that your request be submitted at least three months in advance of the need.
